Anna Wakitsch is currently a 2017 MFA Painting candidate at the New York Academy of Art. She received her B.A. in Art Theory and Practice from Northwestern University in 2001. In 2004, she began her study of painting and drawing with artist Anthony Ryder, and in 2006 moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she began teaching as Mr. Ryder’s assistant instructor at The Ryder Studio until 2011. She has also taught at Vitruvian Fine Art Studio in Chicago, as well as given private instruction and workshops. Her work is in public and private collections and has been published in ArtNews, American Artist Drawing, and American Art Collector. Anna has participated in group shows in New York, Santa Fe, Chicago, Nashville, Maine, Indiana, and Leipzig, Germany.
